Learning Management System

The GlobalPort Education module includes a series of online applications that support lifelong learning and knowledge remediation, and provide opportunities to increase revenue from premium society content.

Self-assessment & Remediation
The Self-assessment & Remediation components of GlobalPort provide a state-of-the art self-assessment mechanism, that not only help users identify areas of deficient knowledge by allowing them to compare their results with those of peers, but can dynamically point users to content relevant to incorrectly answered questions and suggest a path for remediation.

A state-of-the art question writing tool supports the development of this kind of peer-reviewed content.

Case-Based Learning
The GlobalPort Education module includes a case study template that greatly simplifies the development of interactive case-study subject matter. Case studies can be linked to other portal content and can include rich layers of multimedia images, audio, video or other content.

Learning Plans
Members can identify areas of specialized study from which they would benefit and create custom learning plans using society content. Learning activities can include anything from journal articles and freely available material to member-only content, pay-per-view and self-assessment tests to monitor how well participants meet their learning objectives.

CME
The GlobalPort CME components provide members with a personalized CME/CE/CPD portfolio, including full integration with custom workflows. Members can request credit, track hours, compare credits to annual requirements and maintain a secure, personal collection of CME progress which can be tied to a products catalogue, or allow for manual entry of outside CME activity. Users can view history, print certificates and be automatically reminded of their current status and how it compares to their requirements.

MOC
Maintenance of certification tools can help members prepare for certification exams as well as meet MOC pre-test requirements. Where appropriate, MOC activities are automatically tracked in member CME portfolios. Data transfers to board systems and other mechanisms are available to support the challenging and ever-changing requirements in this area.
